Fremont, California - The upgrade to version 7.0 expanded eFactory from not only being an ERP reporting module, but also a central repository where users can post artwork and data files, submit order forms, look for FAQs and link directly to OrderPoints. The new version, eFactory 8.0, scheduled to be released in the fourth quarter of 2008, is focused on even more information collaboration and intelligence with development in areas such as personal communication, expanded reporting capabilities and new application connectors.
DCL continues to expand on our reporting capabilities, so our customers have as much information as possible at their fingertips. The following new applications are being added to the existing suite of applications:
1. Stock Replenishment
2. Monthly Inventory Transactions Summary
3. Inventory as of a Specific Date
4. Consigned Material Purchase Orders
5. Daily Fulfillment Overview Dashboard
6. Cancel Fulfillment Order Capability
While we continue to push significant amounts of operational data to our customers (inventory, assembly, fulfillment, etc), in eFactory 8.0 we move to the next level where we also provide analysis to support customers in their decision making process. The intelligence will enable our customer to analyze specific sales activities (orders, line items, units, customers, ship methods) by geography, customer, product and period.
One of the most common challenges faced by new customers is the ability to extract data such as sales order information from their system to DCL’s system. Depending on the system, this can be either automated or manual. If the latter, companies must higher expensive consultants to program the extraction of data files from their system. For two common systems, Netsuite and Quick Books, where it is difficult to extract data from, DCL is now offering standard interfaces as application connectors that will allow our systems to “talk” seamlessly to each other.
eFactory 8.0 is another example of DCL’s commitment to provide the best possible information system for its customers. We continue to evolve eFactory with new systems and technologies to provide our customers the edge to be successful in this competitive business world.
