FREMONT, CA. - DCL, www.dclcorp.com, is proud to announce the release of eFactory 8.0 on October 1, 2009.
eFactory 8.0, moves DCL’s multi-channel fulfillment and logistics light years ahead of our current service offering and will provide Web 2.0 functionality along with improved visibility, applications and business tools for customers. The new platform continues to emphasize DCL’s position as one of the leading supply chain companies in the US.
DCL continues to invest in providing our customers the most cutting edge technologies and business analysis tools to keep up with managing the complex multi-channel fulfilment and logistics strategies of the world’s leading companies. eFactory 8.0 will continue to provide all of the comprehensive operational data that currently exists in version 7.0, with the additional capabilities to analyze data interactively using graphical tools. This added intelligence will enable customers the ability to see real time sales activities (orders, line items, packages, ship methods) by geography, customer, product and time. For customers that still want to look at raw data such as fulfillment or inventory, the reporting application can be customized so that information the customer most uses is now available from a single “dashboard” rather than selecting from a list of various reports.

DCL has also embedded common Web 2.0 features such as a mobile web portal for inventory, fulfillment and returns updates. These tools can be accessed and viewed from various smart devices such as Blackberrys and iPhones. This same information can also be available via Web Services technology, and customers can incorporate these reports directly into their internal systems such as a CRM or ecommerce store.
“Although we launched 7.0 last year, the vision for eFactory 8.0 started over 2 years. With the launch of this product, we have literally leapt ahead of our competition. Real time information should be the norm, not the exception; now, the analysis and how the data is presented is the key to differentiation. The future is now.” proclaims Shahid Masood, Vice President of Information Technology.
