OrderPoints 8.0
Today our customers send us orders through two basic channels: batch files and OrderPoints. OrderPoints is an application that enables customers to manually input sales orders via a web store menu cataloging their products. Based on customer feedback in 2008, DCL recently launched Orderpoints 8.0, a much improved version that is now much more user friendly and easier to use.
The main advantage of OrderPoints 8.0 is that it is now directly tied into eFactory, seamlessly pushing information to you as you are inputting in each sales order. The Product catalog is an exact match to what has been set up in eFactory and inventory information pulls from our ERP immediately as you input the quantity that you want ordered.
The process of inputting an order has been consolidated to only one page and we provide a mechanism to customizing the packing slip for each and every order. There are many other benefits that have been developed over the last 6 months in OrderPoints 8.0 that we would be happy to discuss with you.
eFactory 8.0 to Launch in Fall 2009
In 2008, DCL launched eFactory 7.0 moving the reporting from a citrix-based platform to a more user friendly and modern-looking java application. Knowing that IT visibility and reporting tools for customers are differentiators in the supply chain, DCL continues to look at even better ways to get intelligent data into the hands of our customers.
The vision of eFactory 8.0 is to take current available data one step further: to be able have the data summarized in an even more intelligent package. Rather than purely numbers exported to an excel sheet, there will an emphasis on graphical, chart and dashboard information across both production and fulfillment.
The vision and development of the new version is already under way and we expect to have it launched later this year.
