DCL, specialists in supply chain management, announced the release of eFactory version 7.0, its web-based, real-time information visibility tool for customers.

eFactory 7.0 is now Java-enabled, Mac, Vista and PC compatible, providing customers with 24/7, secure access to the visibility of their manufacturing and fulfillment activities at DCL from anywhere in the world – all customers need is access to the Internet. Customers no longer need to worry about firewall issues associated with downloading the Citrix client to their desktop. The newer, Java-enabled version of eFactory will look very similar to DCL’s traditional reporting application, but is more up-to-date with a technologically advanced look-and-feel.

The new version, eFactory 7.0, streamlines the information-sharing process by providing customers with a portal for a central access point into DCL. This portal provides customers with many of the same capabilities to customers today, but at one central location and with the need of only one log-in. When customers access eFactory 7.0, they will be directed to a home page, which provides immediate access to the following areas:

1. ERP Center – powered by Oracle with access to all customer activities at DCL, mainly in warehousing, manufacturing and fulfillment

2. Document Center - central repository to manage and control many file types between DCL and customer such as art and print files for proof approval and production process

3. Services - direct access to on-line order entry (Orderpoints), submission of batch files for fulfillment orders, and fulfillment confirmation files

4. Library – customers can reference this library of standard DCL file specifications, “How To’s” and FAQs

DCL continues to improve the ERP Center with new reporting capability and functionality. Customers will now find the following time-saving reports and features in version 7.0:

1. Fulfillment Overview – a summary dashboard showing the complete status of fulfillment orders including quantities of batches, orders, holds, back orders, shipped orders, etc.

2. Cancel Orders – provides ability to cancel orders by line and order before they are shipped by DCL

3. View Cancelled Orders – provides ability to view cancelled orders

"By having one central access point into DCL thru the eFactory 7.0 portal, customers will able to maximize their productivity and minimize administrative time. We will continue to further enhance these tools in order to further streamline the communication interchange between our customer and DCL,” said Shahid Masood, VP of IT at DCL.
