Environmentally AwareConscious to the Environment

One doesn’t usually equate environmentalism with manufacturing, supply chain or fulfillment. Here at DCL, however, we have consciously made an effort to do our part both internally and for our customers in energy conservation and waste reduction.

DCL is the first and only company in the industry to have installed a solar panel system on the rooftop of its Fremont Milmont facility (see the press release). The system enables us to reduce our energy consumption and costs, but more importantly act as a pioneering leader on environmental conservation for the entire industry.

Our purchasing teams are experienced in sourcing and procuring recyclable materials of many kinds for some of our customers. They also advise on minimizing source materials and packaging size and configuration in order to reduce overall waste and ultimately, packaging cost.

We handle returns for many customers and are asked to scrap and dispose of materials on their behalf. We always look for ways to recycle usable materials while disposing of any hazardous materials safely.

Internally, there are corporate initiatives to recycle white paper, corrugate and aluminum and to minimize the use of energy within our facilities during down periods.
